Parents need to be careful when selecting their nap mat and check each company’s care instructions before purchasing. Kids' nap mats are normally suitable for children ages 2-5. There are a few things to also consider like your child’s height. Most nap mats range from 48” to 52” long, a good thing to also check if your toddler runs on the tall side!

That answer depends on your preschool’s sleeping equipment. If the school uses standard cots (usually elevated 3 inches off the floor) or padded mats, then the thickness of the nap mat is less important, it can be as little as ½ inch – because the bed is a flexible and comfortable surface. If the child is sleeping on a bare floor, then we recommend at least an inch of padding. The Urban Infant has designed 2 nap mats to accommodate both of these circumstances.
